Uniformitarianism's Evil Fruit

Dear Dr. Jackson,
I was just wondering if you could comment on the theory of uniformitarianism, I really believe it is the root of evolution a fulfillment of 2 Peter 3:3-7.
Also, is there any other scripture where atheism/evolution is prophesied or spoken of in the Bible? -Isaac (Saw you at CFNI!)

2 Pet 3:3-6 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts. And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continueas they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they are willingly ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished."

Psalms 14:1 and 53:1 both say, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God."

1 Corinthians 4:15 "For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers..."
